There is no last train car
Sometimes it seems that if we don't manage to jump on, there won't be a second chance.
- The deal fell through? You won't get another like it.
- Didn't do an exit? You will definitely regret it later.
A friend, a big entrepreneur, once told me over a glass of red wine: "Ilia, there is no last train car."
If you know how to create value, you already have the experience and resources for train cars to keep arriving again and again.
Why is the belief in a "last train car" dangerous?
It makes you rush and agree to less. We start acting from the fear of missing out, not from a position of strength and conscious choice.
A healthy refusal frees up room for better chances. When we understand that trains run regularly, we start making decisions more calmly, more wisely and from a much better position.
The main thing is not to stand idle on the platform and not to regret the "departed car." That is how you turn from a passenger into the driver of this train.
