Now
Updated 18 October 2026. This is a now page: what I'm focused on at this point in my life.
Work. I'm building Unitify — software for running apartment buildings: payments, repair requests and news for residents in one place. It is live in buildings in Georgia (Ande Tower, Batumi) and Azerbaijan (Avant Park), and I write much of the code myself.
A US holding company. I'm forming a holding company to acquire US community association management firms (HOA and condo management, typically 2,000–10,000 units), keeping their people and local names. It is at an early stage and looking for its first acquisition.
Writing. A private book for my children, built from fifteen years of my notes, posts and conversations. Also short posts on LinkedIn and, in Russian, on Telegram.
Reading. Hermann Hesse — Siddhartha, after The Glass Bead Game earlier this year. Aloud, in the evenings: children's books.
Outside work. The end of the sailing season on the Slovenian coast; road cycling; meditation every morning.
Where. Mostly Europe, with regular trips to New York.
Who I most want to meet this quarter
- Owners of US community association management companies thinking about succession or a sale, and the M&A advisors who work with them.
- Operators who would like to run such a company in Florida, Texas or another fast-growing state.
- Founders who have sold a company and are building again — to compare notes on the second time around.
